Help shape the future of research careers in Health Innovation

At the BREATH project, we believe strong Talent Ecosystems are built by listening — to the people who shape research careers and to those who live them.

We are currently running two surveys to better understand how talent in Health Innovation is supported, developed, and retained across Europe. Your perspective can help us design people-centred, future-ready solutions.

How does your organisation support research talent?

Are you involved in researcher development, HR, training, or organisational management?

This survey is addressed to organisations working in Health Innovation across academia, industry, and public administration. It explores how institutions support Early-Career Researchers (ECRs), what challenges they face, and what changes are needed to strengthen collaboration and talent retention.

Tell us about your career path

Have you completed a PhD — or are you navigating what comes next?

This survey invites PhD holders and early-career researchers to share their career experiences, expectations, and challenges during and after the PhD. Your input will help us better understand how skills are used across sectors and what support researchers really need.

Shaping the future of
health innovation careers

The BREATH project is transforming how talent is nurtured and retained in Health Innovation across Europe. By building a sustainable Talent Ecosystem in Catalonia, Flanders, and Lithuania, BREATH empowers Early-Career Researchers (ECRs) with tailored career paths, personalised training, and enhanced guidance services.

Through collaboration between academia, industry, and public institutions, BREATH is piloting new models for career development that respond to real labour market needs.

Our goal? To make research careers more attractive, diverse, and future-ready — ensuring Europe remains a global leader in innovation.
